half-fulled, half-empty

There was once I asked my mum the cliche question out of sheer boredom. 'If you see a cup which contains water that reaches half of its height, would you think that it is half-fulled or half-empty?' Simple enough.

She replied, "Gotta wash the cup le."

So funny can. My mum is neither pessimistic nor optimistic. She is realistic.

Ahem. I am a realistic person too. But it's not my fault. I inherited it from my mum.
