The farmer and the magic crane

The farmer and the magic crane were best of friends. To be exact, they were inseparable.

However, the truth is that the magic crane is still a magical creature. It will never be tamed and lived with the farmer forever. Both of them knew it. Why bother, they think. Life is as unpredictable. They should enjoy the sweet moments and let nature takes its course.

Another truth is that, ‘let nature takes its course’ will never work. The more they tried to persuade themselves not to think about it, the more they would think about it. Life, an oxymoron.

So one day, they decided to put an end to all their worries. The magic crane decided to go and search for its magical realm and the farmer remained as so in the greenery. They promised themselves they would not make this decision a wrong one.

Since then, the magic crane seeks its company with other magical creatures. The farmer knows the magic crane is doing well. The magic crane has a fulfilling life even without the farmer.

The farmer had always thought they needed each other. But, he realizes he is actually dispensable.

The magic crane seems happy with its life now. There are always outings in the magical realm. The magic crane can remember every single detail of its outings with its magical creatures. Can it remember ours, the farmer wondered.

The farmer and the magic crane are no longer the best of friends. They have separated.
